Highlands County Republican Meeting Nov 9th at Sebring Elks Lodge

The Highlands County Republican November meeting will be held Thursday November 9th at the Sebring Elks Lodge.  Our special Guest Speaker will be Highlands County Tax Collector Eric Zwayer. His presentation will include the operations of the Tax Collector's Office, the trends that he has seen, and the vision for the office moving forward. The meeting will start promptly at 6:30 PM.  Come early at 6 PM and join us for a time of welcome, introductions and information exchange. Food will not be available at our November meeting as we will be meeting at a temporary location. 

Beginning again with our December meeting and for subsequent meetings we will be back to our new meeting location at The Inn on the Lakes in Sebring and optional dinner from the menu will be available from 5 - 6 PM.  

Eric Zwayer - As the elected Tax Collector, my goal for our organization is to be the main point of government services in Highlands County, while providing excellent customer service to every person that walks through our doors.  Over the past seven years, our office has added Driver’s Licenses, Birth Certificates, Sun Passes, Concealed Weapons Licenses, Tourist Development Tax, and Notary Services.  All of this while continuing to provide excellent customer service in the area of Property Tax, Registration and Titles, Hunting and Fishing Licenses, Dealer Services, Parking Permits, and Garage Sale Permits.  It is a huge undertaking to effectively hire, train, and retain quality staff who are capable of the cross training that are required for our operations. I will discuss the operations of our office, the trends that we have seen, and vision I have for the office moving forward. I look forward to the opportunity to speak with everyone.
