Highlands County Republicans will hold their September meeting on Thursday September 14, 2017 at the Inn on the Lakes in Sebring. The meeting will start promptly at 6:30 PM and end approximately 7:45 PM. Beginning with this meeting which will be held in the newly renovated Royal Palm Room, members and guests will be able to order dinner from the menu in the conference room from 5 - 5:45 PM.
Highlands County Property Appraiser, Raymond McIntyre, will be our special Guest Speaker. He will be sharing possible changes to the Homestead Exemption which will appear on the 2018 ballot. He will also talk about growth in Highlands County and how that growth has effected the tax rolls.
Come early and enjoy dinner and fellowship. We have had eight new members join in the last two meetings and expect several more to join at the September meeting. We have needs for new members to serve on a number of important committees as we move forward to prepare for continuing victories in the upcoming 2018 elections.
