The Highlands County Republican Party August monthly meeting will be held Thursday evening August 13th from 6:30 to 7:45 PM at the Island View Restaurant banquet room in Sebring. Our Guest Speaker will be our Republican National Committeeman Peter Feaman. Peter and National Committeewoman Kathleen King represent the over 4 million Florida Republicans to the Republican National Committee.
Peter is a terrific speaker. You will not want to miss this meeting! Dinner (optional) will be available from a limited Island View menu and can be ordered from 5-6 PM.
Members are requested to RSVP to our Secretary Judi Bentley by phone or email. Members may bring or invite guests, but are requested to RSVP and provide the names of the guests with a call or text to our Secretary Judi Bentley 571-334-1749 so that we can plan appropriately. Please indicate whether you or your guests plan to order dinner from 5 - 6 PM. All safety guidelines in place as of August 13th will be followed. See Chairman Rapp's detailed instructions as follows:

I am writing to you today to address some concerns about Covid-19 safety guidelines for our HCREC meetings. Below are some important guidelines to improve and continue our social distancing practices.
Social Distancing: Island View Restaurant will open up their entire banquet space to allow for increased distancing between tables.
o Tables will be designated for dining and non-dining. We respectfully request that if you will not be dining at the meeting, that you sit at a table designated as a non-dining table.
o Chairs will be situated around the perimeter for those who do not wish to be seated at a table.
Masks: Some of the members have expressed concerns about facial coverings. Here is our policy.
o Please wear a mask upon entering the building.
o You may remove your mask while eating, making a presentation, or asking questions.
o Masks should be worn at all other times.
Meeting Attendance: A quorum is needed to conduct the business of our meeting.
o Please make every effort to attend the meeting in-person or via conference call so that you can vote on important issues.
o If you plan to attend the meeting via conference call, you must advise the HCREC Secretary of your intent to do so. ([email protected] or 571-334-1749)
o Judi Bentley will provide conference call information to the members who indicate their preference to attend the meeting via conference call.
