HIGHLANDS COUNTY REPUBLICANS FEBRUARY 2020 MEETING

The Highlands County Republican Party meets monthly on the second Thursday of the month at the Inn on the Lakes in Sebring. The meeting starts at 6:30 pm and adjourns about 7:45 pm. Guest speakers at the upcoming February meeting will be two of the three Republican candidates for Clerk of the Courts and Comptroller, Jerome Kaszubowski and Kyle Green.

Kyle Green, Candidate for Highlands County Clerk of Courts and Comptroller

Kyle Green is a Lifelong Highlands County resident who is running for the next Highlands County Clerk of Courts and Comptroller. Kyle currently serves the citizens of Highlands County as the Road and Bridge Director, a position which he's held for over 11 years.

Kyle graduated from Sebring High School and earned his Associate of Arts Degree from South Florida Community College in Avon Park. He served the agriculture community for many years before transitioning into utility and road construction and finally to public sector service with Highlands County.

Kyle is a graduate of the 2010 Leadership Highlands Class, a participant of the Highlands County Sheriff's Office Citizens Academy and a current member of the Highlands County Community Traffic Safety Team. He is a current member of the Highlands County Republican Executive Committee. Kyle also volunteers as a Mentor through the Highlands County School Boards Mentoring Program.

Jerome Kaszubowski, Candidate for Highlands County Clerk of Courts and Comptroller

Mr. Kaszubowski has served as a Highlands County Clerk of Courts Deputy Clerk in various capacities for more than 30 years. The most recent ten years, under the Robert Germaine administration, where he has the current position of Senior Director of Business Services. 

Jerome earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Data Processing, and an Associate’s degree in Accountancy, from Ferris State College in Big Rapids Michigan. He also earned a Certified Governmental Chief Information Officer (CGCIO) certification from Florida State University in 2010, and was a member of the Leadership Highlands Class of 2011. Jerome is a member of the Highlands County Republican Executive Committee and the Heartland American-Israeli Initiative.  He is currently Sunday School Superintendent and Teacher at The Ministry Center, Lake Placid/Sebring since 2010, and serves on the Advisory Board.  He is former President and Board member of Heartland Christian School in Sebring.

Jerome has been married to his wife Margaret for 30 years. They have three children and five grandchildren.
