Celebrate Christmas in July

You are invited to attend Highlands County Republican Party July Meeting – Thursday July 8th from 6:30 to 7:45 PM at the Sun N Lake Island View Restaurant banquet room in Sebring.

For the last couple of years, the Highlands County Republican Executive Committee (HCREC) supported Lake Placid Police Department’s and the Highlands County Sheriff’s Office toy drives. 

We had the opportunity to work with and get to know the fine gentlemen of our law enforcement who work with the event.  We learned it is more than picking up the toys and passing them out.  They are involved with the families in the community.  We thought we would invite these young men to our meeting and let them explain in detail what all is involved. 

Our meeting this month is “Christmas in July.”  Our Speaker is Lt. Tyrone Tyson with the COPS Adapt Unit, Highlands County Sheriff’s Department.  Sergeants Tristin Lanier and Jason Mulligan will be in attendance.

You do not have to bring a gift, yet.  Get those Christmas outfits out of the closet and wear them to the meeting.  You might win a prize!

Dinner (optional) will be available from the Island View menu and can be ordered from 5-6 PM. Members are requested to let our Secretary Judi Bentley know by phone or email if you will be unable to attend. Guests are invited and welcome.  RSVPs with your name and contact info are encouraged and appreciated so that we can plan appropriately or notify you of any changes in schedule.
