Jennifer Sullivan rallies Millennials at Sunshine Summit

November 14, 2015 By Frank Torres

State Representative Jennifer Sullivan was featured at the 2015 Sunshine Summit on Saturday morning, the Mount Dora lawmaker is considered a rising star in the party and was promoting the importance of the millennial vote and the role it will play in the 2016 election cycle.

“We are not only the future of the party. We are the party.” began Sullivan “We’re the ones running this conference, knocking on doors and running campaigns. I encourage you to fight for what you believe and to fight boldly, courageously and in a principled way for those things.”

She continued encouraging Parents and Grandparents to engage their children and to use the time they have together to learn what was important to them. “The propaganda of liberals is fierce” she continued “They may think they have the upper hand but as their parents, you have far more influence than they ever will. So please use it”

Sullivan made history in 2014, becoming the youngest woman elected to the State Legislature at age 23. In her first legislative session, she passed 6 bills, more than any other state lawmaker from Central Florida. She was one of only two State House Representatives to earn a spot in the Sunshine Summit line-up that featured every major Republican candidate for President.

“We have the message to empower individuals, but it’s up to us to carry that message to our peers, to our neighbors. For too long we have been on defense, it’s time for us to get on offense.” she concluded.
